Stainless Steel Cufflinks

Stainless steel cufflinks

An item of jewelry worn by both men and woman for possibly centuries is the cufflink. Once a piece worn by the higher in society, cufflinks are now worn by virtually anyone who wears a cuffed blouse or shirt with no closure around the wrist. They have been made over the years of a variety of materials, to enhance the look of any outfit. More prevalent during the 1960's, cufflinks have been making a comeback in the last decade.

Today one of the cufflinks of choice would be made of stainless steel. Stainless steel is extremely durable, does not scratch as easy keeping the links looking nicer longer. Also its a material loved my men as sounding tough and rugged. You might say its the perfect manly material.

Lets not forget the women who also wear cufflinks on their blouses or dress shirts. Stainless steel has its advantages for women too as well as men. Often women have more sensitive skin then their male counterparts. The composition of the metal is one of the most hypo-allergenic materials going. The ideal material for anyone with sensitive skin or allergies.

Stainless steel cufflinks also come in a wide variety of shapes and styles. They can be round, oval, square, rectangular and diamond shape. THe smooth shiney surface makes the ideal background for monograms, etched in pictures, inset diamonds or gems. Some links today also have little dangley attached such as dice, hearts etc. They can also be chain linked, snap togethers or one piece.

Overall, if I were looking for cufflinks, stainless steel would be my choice. Little care is required to maintain the lusterous surface. I need not worry about my skin breaking out from some added chemical or metal alloy. Most of all, stainless cufflinks come in many designs, styles and pricepoints to fit any budget or occasion and should last the lifetime of my wardrobe.
